Job Description

We are looking for a results-driven Operations Manager to lead and optimize our end-to-end operational functions for a vertically integrated food processing and manufacturing company. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this role is a critical member of the leadership team and will have strategic and hands-on oversight of key departments, including Supply Chain, Engineering, R&D, Quality Control, and Production.
The ideal candidate will be a natural leader with a strong background in manufacturing and continuous improvement. They will be responsible for driving performance, ensuring compliance, enhancing productivity, and delivering exceptional results aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple departments to ensure seamless and efficient workflows.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with long-term business goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in Supply Chain, Engineering, R&D, QC, and Production.
  • Establish and track KPIs to monitor productivity, performance, and quality.
  • Implement process improvements and best practices to drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure company compliance with regulatory and customer standards (FDA, USDA, SQF, etc.).
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to manage budget, resources, and planning initiatives.
  • Optimize the use of ERP systems and digital tools for data-driven decision making.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead strategic sourcing and procurement efforts.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management for department leads.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality throughout the organization.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to meet business targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing/operations.
  • Experience in the wastewater or food manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Redzone) and operational software.
  • Deep understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L, and cash flow management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (FDA, USDA, CFIA, SQF, CODEX).

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis, data processing, and KPI tracking.
