Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager for a contract position with a client in Jersey City, NJ (hybrid). This role is responsible for collaborating with various teams, TPMs, and SMs to gather and understand project status and summarizing the information effectively. The position requires leveraging a strong background in Agile-Scrum while drawing on experience in waterfall or hybrid project management.

Rate Range: $60 per hour to $65 per hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work in partnership with business stakeholders and the scrum team to ensure user stories are delivered in line with business requirements.
• Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with business stakeholders and technology management.
• Define and prioritize user stories for the scrum team utilizing applicable artefacts: Jira, Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, Workflow, Business Rules, and Software Specifications.
• Support and educate teams on key Agile concepts, including Servant Leadership, backlog prioritization, and release planning (Program Increment).
• Pull and analyze reports from Jira, ensuring all metrics are tracked accurately.
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues to ensure project success.
• Conduct discussions with senior leaders, managers, and team members, effectively influencing and driving decisions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 7 years of experience in technology and Agile environments
• Experience in Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games.
• Experience in working with JIRA, including creation and management of epics and releases, including experience with PI planning and management.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate Agile practices, including Servant Leadership, backlog refinement, and release planning.
• Collaborate with technology team members, end users, and other stakeholders in the testing of new software programs and applications, including the coordination of UAT.
• Review, analyze, and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop testing strategies for improving or leveraging these systems
